Alice at the end of the party

polymer scar
hairs, hairs
a layer of innocent
fat over the bones

sap in certain places
rainwater in others
peat moss
discoverable by slices

propped up in a sheaf
a sheath dress
shackle-swaddle
sashay

unlaced, deboned
butterflied from
the stomach outward

chin a descending
overture declined
