days like these, i’m glad you’ve known me as long as you have,
& that i don’t need to explain myself. world’s been heavy lately,
especially for folks like me. but that’s out there, and we’re in here.
pinned by you against the wall, i start to forget, & think instead
of your shoulders, the mole on your breast, your chin. & when
you push your fingers inside me, i feel like a man. which is to say,
salvageable.
