Almost Important

Flash of recognition
Today the word Erasmus leapt
from the page I do not know
what I once knew but black letters
spoke out like an old friend
passed on a train in a foreign land
I struggling down the aisle
heavy with luggage
then a sweet hug
in a far place
So much has drifted off
it is good to pluck something
from busy synapses
almost remember
something that must
have been good
